Droffett is a drop application utility which "flattens" a folder, i.e. moves all files which are descendants
of it so that they are directly inside it. You can also visualize this as all descendant files percolating up
into the given folder. See accompanying screenshot for illustration.
Warning: The operation can not be undone unless you manually make a backup
copy of the folder. Use at your own risk!
Please also note the following:
Application packages, bundles, etc. are condsidered folders, and their contents will also be moved.
The "emptied" folders are left intact.
Once a file is moved any other files with the same name are not moved.
Folders themselves are not moved.
How to use: Drag a folder on top of the Droffett application icon in the Finder or the
main window. Droffett then prompts you to confirm you really want to flatten the folder because
it can not reverse the action.
(By default Droffett quits when it's done. Use the "Preferences..." menu item in the Droffett menu to turn this option off.)
To obtain a registered password you simply need to make a donation in the amount of your choice at http://www.limit-point.com/Utilities.html

- By popular demand, the option to delete "emptied" folders has been reinstated to Preferences. The preference value is specified using the checkbox labeled "Delete Emptied Folders" and is OFF by default.
